Verifactu invoicing. No complications.

CokuApp generates Verifactu-compliant invoices and submits them automatically to AEAT. Minimal setup. No extra cost. Included with your subscription.

What is Verifactu?

Verifactu is the verifiable invoicing system established by Royal Decree 1007/2023, implementing the Ley Antifraude (Law 11/2021). It requires all invoicing software used in Spain to generate invoices in a tamper-proof format and submit them to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT).

  • Your invoicing software must generate each invoice with a tamper-proof record (hash chain, QR code, digital fingerprint).
  • Each invoice is automatically submitted to AEAT servers at the time of issuance.
  • Issued invoices cannot be modified or deleted without leaving a trace.
  • The software must include a manufacturer's responsible declaration certifying its compliance.

Verifactu is not optional. Every business in Spain that issues invoices will need compliant software before the 2027 deadlines.

Key dates: when is it mandatory?

July 2027

Penalties for using non-compliant software can reach 50,000 euros per fiscal year. Penalties for software manufacturers can reach 150,000 euros per fiscal year.

How Verifactu works in CokuApp

Native compliance

Verifactu is not an add-on or plugin. It is built into the Invoicing module. Every invoice you generate is compliant from the start.

Automatic submission to AEAT

Invoices are submitted to AEAT servers in real time via Verifacti, a certified middleware. You do not need to do anything manually.

Tamper-proof hash chain

Each invoice is linked to the previous one through a cryptographic fingerprint. This ensures invoices cannot be altered or deleted without leaving a record.

QR code on every invoice

Every invoice includes a QR code that allows verifying its authenticity directly with AEAT.

Responsible declaration

CokuApp includes the manufacturer's responsible declaration required by the regulations.

Minimal setup

Activate Verifactu from your account, enter your tax details and you are done. No endpoints, no certificates, no external integrations.

Do you need Verifactu?

If your business is in Spain and you issue invoices, the answer is yes. Verifactu is mandatory for:

  • Companies and legal entities (SL, SA, cooperatives) — from January 2027
  • Freelancers and professionals — from July 2027
  • Any business using invoicing software — the software must be compliant

Businesses subject to the Basque Country's foral regime (Alava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa) use TicketBAI instead of Verifactu. We are working to implement TicketBAI support in CokuApp too.

What happens if you do not comply?

  • Financial penalties — Up to 50,000 euros per fiscal year for using non-compliant software.
  • Tax risk — Invoices issued with non-compliant software may not be valid for tax purposes.
  • Lost customers — Your business customers may require Verifactu-compliant invoices to deduct VAT.

Do not wait until the last minute. The sooner you migrate to compliant software, the more time you have to adapt your processes.

Why CokuApp for Verifactu compliance?

Most Spanish invoicing software is already Verifactu-compliant. What CokuApp also offers is:

  • Pay only for what you use — No per-user charges or invoice limits. Activate only the modules you need.
  • Integrated additional modules — Memberships, bookings, passes, clinical histories and a Member Dashboard available. Competitors only offer invoicing.
  • A portal for your customers — Your customers access their invoices from their own portal. No Spanish competitor offers this.

If you only need invoicing, CokuApp is just as Verifactu-compliant as any competitor. If you need more (memberships, bookings, clinical histories), CokuApp is the only option that integrates everything.

Frequently asked questions about Verifactu

Verifactu does not require external certification. The regulations require the software manufacturer to issue a Responsible Declaration certifying the system's compliance with the technical specifications of Royal Decree 1007/2023 and Order HAC/1177/2024. CokuApp includes this Responsible Declaration and you can view it from within the application.

Yes, but it is very simple. You need to activate Verifactu from your account settings and enter your business tax details (NIF, legal name). Once configured, every invoice you issue will be compliant automatically.

Yes. CokuApp supports importing invoices from Excel. Get in touch for help with the migration.

No. Verifactu applies to invoices issued from the mandatory date onwards. Previous invoices do not need to be migrated to the new format.

Businesses subject to the Basque Country's foral regime (Alava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa) use TicketBAI instead of Verifactu. We are working to implement TicketBAI support in CokuApp too.
